Step 5: Pull on the Pull Strings at the bottom of the Flying Banner. The top of the Shaft will bend as the Banner is moved into place. Tie the Pull Cords tightly to the Banner Securing Clip near the bottom of the Assembled Pole. Loosen the thumb screw on the Banner Tie-Down Clip and slide the Clip up or down to adjust tension on the banner.

Step 6: Slide the bottom of the Lower Pole over the Locking Shaft on the Spike Base. Press down until secure. Push the Locking Ring down and rotate a little to lock in place, noticing the tiny grooves and channels that keep the Locking Ring from moving when not lined up properly.
